After an engineering degree in 1978, I shifted to my greater interest in economic development and started working on and writing about matters related to economic policy.

This web page includes: (a) a blurb on the policy issues that I have worked on, followed by a listing of my papers on the subject; (b) abstracts of most papers; and (c) wherever possible, the full text of the paper.

As will be evident from the listing of the papers, I have been lucky to work with some very fine co-authors, to whom I am most grateful.
